Curriculum Vitae

A zenével gyerek korom óta foglalkozom.Klasszikus zenei tanulmányaimat zongorán kezdtem.Úgy 16 évesen megérintett a táncházmozgalom szele és a népzene felé fordultam.Először bőgőzni,majd később brácsázni és dudálni tanultam. Alapítója,szervezője és zenésze voltam. az 1987-2005-ig müködő pécsi népzenészek táncházának.. A kelta kultúra és ezen belül a zene a 80-as évek közepétől foglalkoztat.Az eleinte magamtól tanult ír dallamokat később a Folk Tone Drum zenekarban kamatoztattam mint harmonikás és később mint hárfás 1992-től. A zenekar öt év intenzív munka után csak ritkán és alkalomszerüen játszott együtt.Utolsó koncertünk 2002 ben volt Pécsett a Dominkánus házban.

A Hárfa mindig az egyik kedvenc hangszerem volt.Az első 22 húros ölhárfámat Olaszországban szereztem,majd később,a zenei lehetőségek bővítése érdekében vettem Irországban egy 30 húros, nagyobb hangszert. Repertoáromban Turlough Carolan/1670-1738/ szerzeményei,ír táncdallamok,slow air-ek/lassúk/ és saját kompoziciók találhatók.                                                                    


Ars Poetica 

 

A hárfajátékom stílusát magam alakítottam ki és ennek több oka is van.Egyrészt ,mivel magamtól tanultam /néhány írorzsági kurzust kivéve ,nem  követem és nem is akarom/a klasszikus szabályokat.Másrészt ,mivel a népzene felől közelítek,megtartom a népzenei rögtönzés hagyományait,természetesen adott keretek között.Kedvelem a modern zenét és a jazz-t is.Ezeknek a hatása a saját szerzeményeimben érződik..

 Ajánlom magam

 

Szívesen vállalok koncerteket,kis előadással egybekötve / 30-60 perc a  hárfáról és a zenéről /szólóban és egy-két zenész baráttal kiegészülve is.Azonkívül örömmel játszok kiállítás megnyitókon és színházi darabokban is.

Curriculum Vitae    

I  have been involved in music since I was a child.My earliest excursions into classical music took place on the piano.I came into contact with the winds of the Hungarian Dancing House movement and thereafter turned my attention to folk music.First I played the double bass,then the viola and the bagpipe.I was founder,organiser and musician of the Pécs Folk Musician Dancing House,which has operated unbrokenly since it's inception in 1987. In the 1980s I turned my attention to Celtic culture and music.At first I played Irish tunes that I had picked up on the accordion;later played in The Folk Tone Drum ensemble,from 1992  performing on the Harp. After an initial intensive five years the band now only plays very occasionally The Harp was always my favourite instrument.I obtained my first 22-string kneeharp in Italy,and later,in order to broaden the musical opportunities provided by a larger instrument,I purchased a 33-string harp in Ireland. My repertoire comprises the composicions of Turlough Carolan (1670-1738),Irish dance tunes,slow airs and my own compositions.

Ars Poetica   

I have created my own style on Harp-playing,for which there are a number of reasons.On the one hand,since - with the exception of a few workshops in Ireland - I am self taught,I do not follow classical rules,nor do I wish to.On the other,I follow the folk tradition improvisation,of course within a natural framework.. I am also a devotee of contemporary music and jazz.The influence of both can be felt in my own compositions.

Recommendation  

I provide concerts linked with mini-lectures (30-60 minute-long recitals about the harp and music ) either solo or with the assistance of one or two musician friends.I am also happy to receive invitations to play at opening of exhibitions and in theatrical productions.
